Progressive Web Apps are here and with it, the entire mobile industry has been revolutionised. How? Why so? The answers to all your questions are here.

The mobile industry has something new to offer every time. With the rise of smartphone users and due to new technology advancements, the mobile industry is growing without any pause or turning back and never fails to surprise us.

Ever since Google started favouring and ranking mobile responsive sites that which takes care of the customers and offers a great user experience, businesses started concentrating more on making their store’s mobile version, better and faster. Although native mobile apps successfully generated about 50% of online sales, when Progressive Web Application entered the market, the tables turned.

Native apps are engaging and handy, provide convenience to the customers, and comes with a lot of other benefits but, they also happen to have some drawbacks like the need of frequent updates and download, network connectivity issues etc., which came into light when PWAs were introduced. Today, in the world of mobile commerce, where even a second’s delay can cost your site conversions and business money, adoption of PWA started turning out to be a knight in the shining armour.

Progressive Web Apps? What is that?

You might be often seeing the term, “Add to Home Screen?” while browsing a mobile site nowadays? That’s none other than PWA.

The best aspects of a native mobile app and a minimalist responsive website combined together is a progressive web app (PWA). It is like a website interacting with users like an application which can be downloaded from the web. They do not wait for content to load after each interaction and simply needs to be added to your smartphone home screen.

PWA can be developed from desktop to mobile versions for a number of devices unlike the native apps which require different technologies and coding practices for Android, iOS, Windows etc. They require no installation or periodic updates and are fast-loading regardless of the low connectivity.

Adopted by many big brands, including Twitter, Forbes, Lyft etc., PWAs are now accessible to all, including small businesses – even those that could not have afforded to have their own app developed from scratch, thus helping businesses reach a wider audience on both the web and mobile with minimal time, expenditure, and effort.

How Progressive Web Applications are Changing the Mobile Experience?

User experience is all that matters whether it is a web or a mobile app and PWAs are bridging the gap between the ease of a great website and the difficulty of building and supporting an amazing app. The following advantages of PWA development are the reasons why PWA gained popularity since its appearance:

1. They are fast, reliable, and engaging

2. Improves engagement and conversions

3. Are platform compatible and works for any user

4. Cost-effective and efficient

5. Need no installation

6. Offers offline to online sync

7. Sends web push notifications

8. Utilises low data

9. Improves SEO ranking

10. Provides great user experience

What is so progressive about PWA?

As listed above, it’s the features of PWA that make its ability to attract a user ten times more than an app downloaded from the store, and at the same time, the cost of progressive web app development is ten times less than the later. PWAs are free of intermediaries, namely App Store and Google Play and occupy very minimal space on the mobile device, on average 2Mb, since its main components are stored in the browser cache.

PWA uses only web standards – a set of APIs which means they utilize most of the native app functions while working in a regular browser. The heart of PWA is the Service Worker which protects the user from connection problems and also enables a PWA to send push notifications, and get automatic site updates. While it’s the Web App Manifest in it that is responsible for some properties of how the site will be displayed and the icon will look after the addition. Moreover, its site resources are transmitted over the HTTPS protocol which means there are no links to unprotected resources.

How is it better than websites and native apps?

Websites and native apps are indeed contributing a lot in building every business’s online presence in their own way, but PWAs are doing a lot more than that. They are for connecting with other people, brands, relaxing and being productive.

Comparing the cost of developing the website and native apps, Progressive web app development cost is the lowest due to the single set of tools and code base required in it. Its development time is rapid and can be distributed via URL, with Chrome 72 support for Trusted Web Activity – App Stores.

So, PWA is the future?

Yes! There’s no doubt about it. PWA has removed all the flaws that we faced in a website or a native app which has increased its popularity to an extent beyond imagination. That which appeared to be a thing for big brands only is now adopted even by small to medium scale businesses too and may soon replace websites and native apps entirely. Who knows?

Conclusion

Overall, progressive web app ecommerce is bringing relief to both retailers and the customers as it fulfils the needs of both efficiently and cost-effectively. Making a progressive web app ends the dilemma of choosing between building a website or a mobile app for the business as it serves the purpose of both worlds. With lower risk and investment, the game-changing benefits of PWA will definitely give businesses a substantial rise in user engagement, ROI, and workforce automation throughout the year and years to come.

So, without wasting any further time in wondering what to do? Approach the best progressive web app development company – MobiCommerce to develop your Magento 2 PWA or React Progressive Web App now!

We have been testing different website builders recently (Wix, Squarespace, and others) and found a newer platform that attracted our attention – https://weblium.com/. It was launched only a couple years ago but offers the functionality that can compete with any niche service and beat most of them.

Weblium offers some excellent personal website templates that will inspire you to launch your own site. So we decided to explain when having a personal website may be useful.

Online resume

According to the Huffington Post, 80% of employers screen the applicants using Google or an analogical searching engine before inviting them to an interview. If you have a personal website, it will appear among search results. It doesn’t have to be a complete autobiography. List the most impressive achievements and projects, add recommendations from previous employers (if possible). Use it as an application for a job.

How it works: Publish your diplomas, share positive feedback from clients, and reference letters. A personal website shows you as a trustworthy person, particularly, because you are willing to share information with the public. It also looks like you are open to new offers.

Professional portfolio

Photographers are not the only ones who need an online portfolio. Writers, designers, editors, translators, managers, and even teachers can make use of an online portfolio. Besides, some spheres require the basic knowledge of HTML/CMS, working with CMS or graphic redactors, etc. When you create a website, you improve these skills and demonstrate them to an employer.

How it works: Portfolio is used to share the examples of your works. Leave contacts so users can order your works or book your services. You can add a page where clients will be able to buy your books, paintings, lesson plans; order a photoshoot or design for their projects, etc.

Freelancers

A freelancer website differs a bit from a portfolio and resume. It usually features the elements of both, as well as some calls to action and marketing elements you can find on an average business website. You can send a link to the site as an application. Some people will find your site among search results and offer to jump on a project. If some of your current partners decide to recommend you to their friends, a website is easy to share.

How it works: Set up SEO, and your website will pop up among the search results. Write a good “About Me” copy, and you won’t need a unique cover letter for every application.

Personal brand

A website is an excellent opportunity to create and promote a personal brand. If you produce something for sale (make clothes, accessories, paintings, postcards and posters, toys, etc.) you should find proper marketplaces. The majority starts with classifieds and social networks and gradually move to a website.

How it works: People trust an official website more than social networks. In a way, it is more convenient for you, too. You can sell things and services, as well as find partners, much easier.

Hobby

Start a blog about anything you are good at (cooking, traveling, parties, fashion, etc.) with the further opportunity for users to purchase subscriptions or special materials. If you write stories, stop writing only for yourself. If you are into sports, tell about workouts and a healthy lifestyle. If you have been through some tough times, share your experiences and help people with similar issues.

How it works: A blog becomes a way to express one’s opinion without judgment – you can even delete comments you don’t like, though it is not recommended. Write about anything you like. Communicate with readers. Find partners and ways to monetize your blog.

A personal website is not a necessity, but it can be useful in many cases. A website is more trustworthy than a profile in social networks. It provides more opportunities for promotion. To get Awesome design for your website hire popular Shopify developers now. It is an excellent medium for finding customers and partners. And it requires only a few hours to launch one if you know what website builder to use.

According to the SBS news, there are incidental reports about cybersecurity issues among the Australian businesses and individuals in every 10 minutes. The total cost incurred already reached $29 billion each year. These statistics are very alarming, disturbing, and burdensome since you’ll never know when you’ll be the next target.

Data breaches can happen anytime and anywhere around the globe. Your main solution is to have a strict control system to protect your private information. Employing an IT programmer may help your business and customers protected from any cyber hacks. However, it would be better to consult an IT support in washington dc that can help you decide and solve much larger problems.

Imagine the benefits of asking an IT specialist group than an employee. Otherwise, if you own a company and you hire a lot of IT experts then internal staff might sound better. However, if you’re just a small business enterprise, hiring a bunch of IT support professionals may hurt your pocket.

Now, what could be the wiser decision for you to secure your customer data? Read our few takeaways regarding how IT support companies protect your customer information.

How to protect business and customer data?

1. Ensure that you have a control and detection system that blocks any forms of cyber hacking such as spams, phishing, malware, and virus-infected files. Implement a full system control that allows protection from any digital threats.

2. Educate the employees and customers to become vigilant in opening and viewing emails as well as attachments. If the email and documents are already suspicious, they need to report it first to the IT personnel. Aside from checking the email received, the employees must also need to be careful in sending documents and responses to the customers.

3. Keep your anti-virus and cybersecurity scanners up to date with the latest versions and patches. If you’re from Queensland, make sure to consult the Managed IT Bundaberg company to check if your software runs smoothly and properly. In this way, it will reduce the possibility to get your databases contaminated with viruses.

4. Ask your IT expert to install monitoring systems and protection software that can serve as barriers from any suspicious or fraudulent data. Let’s just say, you’re an online merchant from Brisbane, set up a payment system that allows the customer to use credit cards safely. You may also allow them to use COD and e-wallet account payment methods.

5. Consider segregating servers, channels, and networks for every user. Ask your IT personnel to set up a high defensive firewall on your office computers. In this way, it automatically prevents your computer from detecting any malicious websites and files.  Encrypt any sensitive data in your office and change the internet password regularly. By doing so, it will prevent cyber hackers from accessing your company data.

6. Create a data security policy and prevent the employees from using devices that may leak information such as USB, external drives, smartphones, and other removable storage devices. In this way, it keeps the confidentiality and privacy of the business and customers’ data.

7. Set up a tracking system that allows the company to see if there are employees that used suspicious applications. Restrict the user role of the staff and create a detection system that prompts whenever the staff uses a personal email or cloud-based storage system.

8. Block any forms of social media on your office browsers. In this way, the employees will not be tempted to check any messages and posts. It also keeps the possibilities lower to encounter any form of cybersecurity threats.

9. Conduct a regular inventory system both external and internal computer parts and systems. You can ask your IT personnel to download software that detects any anomalies in the employee’s computer that may contaminate customer files.

10. Download password manager apps to ensure that the login credentials of the customers are put in a safer place. They don’t need to log in every time they sat on their computers. You must also need to set up a quick touch login system whenever the customers used mobile phones.

Moreover, set up an authenticator app as a double login system. You may use code from the email, phone, or browser plugin to provide customer accounts. Aside from codes, the customers may also use the security questions as another way to log in.

What advice can you provide to your customers?

As an entrepreneur, you should not only become concern about your business and people. You must create a strong privacy policy for your customers as well. For instance, you may set up the customer account with a change password system every quarter. There is a notification that pops up in your customer’s screen and asks to change their passwords.

You must remind the customers to become vigilant in their accounts. For instance, you may put the words “Did you sign in using your account? If this is not you, report to us immediately”. By using these security protocols, it makes the customer feel valued and they will appreciate your concern as to the confidentiality and privacy of their information.

Does your financial life need to be better organized? Do you dread tax season and wonder how to save more money? There are a lot of moving parts to a person’s financial puzzle, including wills, trusts, savings accounts, investments, monthly budgets, insurance premiums, car payments, mortgages and more. Fortunately, there are good ways to keep everything in line and running smoothly. Technology can work for us, if we know how to use it at the right time and in the right way. Here are some of the better trends in the world of consumer finance. In most cases, each passing year brings newer, more sophisticated versions of each one.

Tax Apps

Applications for personal income tax preparation have been around for decades. Only recently, however, have they become seamlessly powerful and reasonably priced. No longer do individuals need to bring all their paperwork to a tax professional. After downloading a tax app, you can fill out your return in less than an hour from the comfort of your home. If you need additional help, most of the apps include a phone or email contact for an extra charge. Unless you have a complex return that includes business income and high-end investments, you can usually use one of the free, online tax programs and electronically submit both state and federal documents directly to the IRS.

Smart Spreadsheets

What can the new breed of smart spreadsheets do? Plenty. For example, if you decide to save money by refinancing student loans to lower your monthly expenses, the sheet can configure your new monthly payment amounts, updated interest charges and show you a timeline for repayment under the refinanced contract. Many consumers refinance their education debt and home mortgages to save money. The math can get tricky when you try to envision all the possible scenarios, which is why smart spreadsheets are so convenient.

Automatic Savings

There are dozens of apps on the market that help you save money by making the task nearly invisible. For example, if one of the more popular products deducts one-half of one percent of all bank deposits you make and places the money into a high-interest savings account. Most consumers never notice the half-percent and are surprised to see how much cash they have socked away at year’s end. You can download most of the automatic savings applications for free.

Robo Advisors

Robo advisors are one of the newest wrinkles in the world of stock investing. These high-tech apps that use enhanced AI algorithms help investors rebalance portfolios, choose stocks based on pre-set criteria, diversify all buys and more. There are small fees for using the robos, but compared to what full-commission brokers charge, the expense is negligible.

DIY Wills and Trusts

In the age of do-it-yourself everything, this trend was bound to happen. DIY wills and trusts are one of the latest offerings from online legal platforms where just about anyone can create a valid will or trust document, ask questions along the way, and print the final version out for safekeeping. Most of the services advise consumers to double-check everything with a real attorney, just to be on the safe side.

RAD methodology is a short-hand term for Rapid Application Development methodology. It’s a system that’s designed to give project management a more agile approach. So that, the app developers company can work quickly and accurately for ultimate efficiency. According to the study by Lucidchart, it is found that RAD methodology increases a project’s success rate by 28%.

RAD methodology breaks down into four distinct phases: planning, creating user design, construction, and cutover. “Cutover” is the step in which companies test and change their app as needed and finally release the finished product in the market.

There are a lot of benefits to using RAD methodology in app development. Through its unique approach to the development process, RAD methodology changes how app design is approached and how developers handle the challenges thrown their way.

How RAD Methodology Guides App Development

Breaking Down Goals into Smaller Tasks

One of the most important parts of reaching the final goal in app development is the ability to break that down into smaller, more manageable tasks.

This makes it much easier to see the layout of steps that are necessary to complete to achieve the final goal that the company is trying to accomplish. In other words, it makes the process much less intimidating and makes it more structured. RAD methodology includes this breakdown in the initial steps of the design process.

Time-saving Steps

There are aspects of RAD methodology that are specifically designed to save time. Specifically, it encourages companies to reuse bits of code that they already have available to them rather than creating everything they use from scratch.

This saves time for an obvious reason: the team doesn’t have to worry about creating code. Instead, they can simply input or code that is already ready to use and edit it as needed which is a much less time-consuming and tedious process.

Early Integration Methods

In application planning systems such as the waterfall method, integrated tools included in an app considered later on in the development process. RAD methodology differs because it includes these integrations early in the app design and development process.

This is a huge benefit because then the integrated systems don’t need retroactive fitting. Instead, it gives developers plenty of time to see how the integration reacts within the app, see how users might interact with it, and make adjustments as needed.

Increased Collaboration Standards

Another benefit of RAD methodology is how it views collaboration and coordination between parties. Rather than encouraging testing the app out with stakeholders such as clients or end-users once the app reaches completion, this method encourages collaborating with these stakeholders throughout the process.

This prevents issues such as spending a lot of time on a feature during the development process only for stakeholders to ignore or dislike it later. It also helps to reduce anything seeming “lacking” from the app upon release by encouraging communication before the app’s full release.

Rigorous Testing Standards

Testing an app is a crucial step in the development process. With this methodology, companies test an app as they go and then they revisit the testing process when the app is complete. Testing smaller portions of the app as developers go to make sure that the working parts will work well together helps target and resolve issues early on. Of course, the finished app goes through the testing process as well.

Conclusion

All of these are solid reasons why RAD methodology is useful to app development team. Above all, it boils down to this: RAD methodology offers a more efficient development process and cuts down on the time it takes to create the app as a whole. It calls on developers to work with each other as well as stockholders, break down tasks into manageable milestones, and generally take steps to speed up the development process without losing any efficiency.

Can Humanity Get Rid of the Internet and Continue Developing?

The modern development of humanity at first glance seems to be at a complete standstill thanks to the Internet. Issues such as children wanting to become YouTubers and the Internet’s own carbon footprint clearly affect humanity at an increasing scale. However, the Internet has been greatly beneficial to humanity, and getting rid of it in order to continue its development would not result in a beneficiary outcome.
With the use of the Internet, we simultaneously perform many tasks that were not possible some years ago. Sadly, many of those include the constant use of YouTube, and recently “more than three-quarters of youngsters say they’d consider a career in online videos”. The use of YouTube, however, is still very new; in order to have a more definitive look into its effects, more time will need to pass.
Another important issue is the Internet’s carbon footprint on humanity. Recent studies show that merely watching YouTube videos in one year has resulted in carbon emissions ”similar to the number of greenhouse gases emitted by a city the size of Frankfurt or Glasgow”. However, measures such as “calculating the carbon footprint for digital waste” and others are taken into consideration for this particular issue.
It is crucial to keep in mind that “innovative technologies created by humans to benefit themselves, are among the principal drivers of changes in the human condition”. The creation of the Internet, together with the lessons learned from the use of YouTube and the Internet’s carbon footprint, can only expand the use of the Internet’s innovative and educational aspects and further the continuous evolution of humanity.

A house can never become home if you have not added good furniture in it. The goodness of furniture is not just decided by its design and comfort that it provide, but also by the price that you have paid and the struggle you have seen while buying it. Now, talking straight about the purchase of furniture, then there are two worlds for that. You can either buy it offline or can go for online shopping.

You will have to agree with the fact that this is the world of online shopping, but is it good to buy furniture online. If we will say yes and won’t give valid points related to it, we are sure you won’t agree. Therefore, here are some of the reasons that will make you realize how shopping for furniture online is a better option and could ease your struggle.

Cost-effectiveness

There are a lot of people who think that online shopping is very expensive. However, it is not true. It is cost-effective in a way or another. If we talk, especially about the furniture, then you go to the online store and then order something of your choice. The store promises you to send that piece to your home directly. Now, this is saving your money on transportation and other things, which is not possible when you are buying them from an offline store. Apart from that, you are not paying any middle cost to anyone, which again a great thing.

Discounts

This is something, which is again not possible when buying things from the offline store. You can never get a discount there. However, every online store has a fixed occasion when it will give you a discount. Be it any festival or their store anniversary. The best thing about stores is that if you have shopped with them ever in the past and now you want to shop again, they even give you a discount on your special days. Apart from that, if you are shopping in bulk from them, then also there is this provision of discount.

Reduced stress

Admit it or not, but online shopping is stress and hassle-free. In the regards of furniture shopping, then one needs to go to the market, with the entire family and then need to hop from one shop to another. On the other hand, if you are going for online shopping, you will just have to visit the store on your phone sitting comfortably at your home. If you want someone else of your family to see it, you can just forward the image of the product or can send the link to it.

The worst part of offline shopping is that you are not able to decide the furniture according to the decor of your house. In online shopping, they give you an option of matching the furniture of your choice, like a wall-mounted tv unit from the interior of your choice. Another sorted angle of this kind of shopping.

Wide range of products to choose from

We all will agree with the fact that the offline store could not have the capacity to have more designs always present over there. Well, this is another good thing with the online stores. They are virtual but contain a lot of options for you. To find out more, you will have to go from one store to another one, which could be skipped in online shopping, as you get everything at just one app.

Better pricing

We are sure that you must have done some kind of online shopping in your life and if you have, you will agree with this. We know that the sale that brands normally announce is merely a strategy to attract customers, but have you ever compared the price of online and offline purchases of the same product. Well, we have seen that the same store sells the same product at a lower price when purchased online. So, one will have to agree with the fact that online stores have better pricing.

Replacement policy

Along with the free shipping policy, one thing is that it is there in online furniture shopping is that if for some reason you didn’t like the product you received, then you can return it immediately and could get a replacement of it. The best part of it is that all of this is done free of cost. Also, this is another thing that you could not expect from an offline store.

These were all the points that prove that online shopping is not just better, but is the only option if you want to have a hurdle free furniture shopping experience. Apart from that, these points also clear out the confusion that is there in the mind of people related to online furniture shopping.

A virtual private network (VPN) enables encrypted and targeted transmission of data over public networks such as the Internet. It establishes protected and self-contained systems with different end devices. A common application is a connection between home, office, or mobile users.

Within a virtual private network (VPN), various participants in an IP network are connected to form an independent subnet. The connections encrypted to protect the data transmitted in the virtual private network via the public Internet from uncertified access. Tunnel connections created between the individual participants that cannot be seen from the outside.

The network structure of the VPN can differ and consist of simple point-to-point connections, point-to-multipoint connections, or wholly engaged participants. Virtual private networks can be used as an inexpensive physical and dedicated networks. They use the public Internet as a connection medium and make leased lines unnecessary.

Encryption and tunneling methods in the VPN

To ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of the data transmitted via the virtual private network in which encryption and tunneling methods are used, the connections of the various participants within the VPN become tap-proof and tamper-proof despite the public Internet as a transport medium.

There are different methods and techniques used for encryption. Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) with Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP) has established itself as a kind of standard for virtual private networks. Much of today’s VPNs are based on this encryption method. IPsec clients for the end devices are available for many different operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS or Linux.

The counterpart of the VPN’s IPsec connection is formed by central VPN gateways such as routers or firewalls, in which IPsec is also implemented. User IDs, passwords, keys, and certificates are used to authenticate the participants. Particularly secure systems work with so-called multi-factor authentication and use other features such as hardware tokens or chip cards as forms of authentication.

The connection between the central gateway and the subscriber is one or more tunnels with the connection being based on the public IP addresses of the two end stations but includes a further encrypted IP connection with its IP address. This second IP connection is protected and cannot be seen from the outside. Only the endpoints of the tunnel can decrypt and interpret the data transmitted in the tunnel. The public Internet only provides basic connectivity and transport services for the tunnel connection.

Major components Network

The limits of the VPN tunnel connection are called VPN endpoints. On the central-side, the VPN endpoint is the gateway that is responsible for maintaining the authenticity, confidentiality, and integrity of the connection. On the client-side, the VPN endpoint is usually the software client installed on the system, through which all communication in the VPN must take place. There are different solution concepts for the central gateways. It can be hardware-based VPN routers, VPN gateways, and firewalls or software-based VPN servers. Many firewalls and routers used today are equipped with suitable VPN functions for the implementation of virtual private networks.

The web-based SSL VPN

A unique form of a VPN that differs significantly from IPsec-based virtual private networks is the web-based SSL VPN. The SSL VPN allows subscribers to access central applications or data without a direct connection to the internal network. If only access to individual services is possible, it is not a full virtual private network in the narrower sense. With SSL VPNs, a difference can be made between fat client, thin client, and clientless implementations.

The Fat Client is used to establish a VPN connection in the ordinary sense. The thin client uses a proxy mechanism of a plug-in and establishes the connection to remote network services. These plug-ins are available in many forms particularly as an extension for web browsers. Clientless SSL solutions do not require any special software expansion and the need for a separate installation. They allow you to access web applications from a company server directly via a standard web browser. For this, the webserver represents the interface to the internal applications.

SSL VPNs have in common that they use the secured SSL or TLS protocol for the transmission of data. SSL VPNs with a fat client are an alternative if IPsec tunnels cannot be established due to restrictions in a network. As with a conventional virtual private network, the client software of the fat client must be installed. It forms the client-side VPN adapter and allows all traffic between the VPN endpoints to be transmitted in an encrypted SSL connection.

VPNs – The Applications

Virtual private networks are used in many areas today. Due to the low costs for networking and the flexible and fast establishment of network connections, they have partially replaced conventional private IP networks based on dedicated lines.

In this way, multiple branches can be networked via a virtual private network through site-to-site connections. It’s also possible to connect an individual computer to an employee who works from home or on the go. In this case, it is an end-to-site connection. This type of connection can be used, among other things, to secure communication via public hotspots.

Further use cases for VPNs are so-called end-to-end connections between two end devices, two servers or one end device, and one server. This type of connection is a network that consists of only two participants. Further communication with other participants is not possible. An end-to-end connection can be used, for example, for the maintenance of a server, in which an external service provider can set up the link to the server with his computer but not to any other subscriber in the internal network.

A typical procedure to use a VPN connection

If a virtual private network connection is to be set up from a home office, a standard dial-in process can consist of the following individual steps. First of all, the user establishes a connection to the public Internet with transmission devices such as DSL or mobile telephony. Then he starts the VPN software on his computer. This automatically or manually triggered by the user establishes the connection to the central gateway of the company network via the public Internet.

The next step is to authenticate the user, Depending on the solution used, this can be a key stored in the client, a manually entered combination of user ID and password or another feature such as the one-time password generated by a token. If the remote station can successfully authenticate the user, they are given access to the parts of the company network.

As a business, the key to success is fully understanding your target market. Knowing the needs and wants of your customer base is a vital component of being able to provide them with products and services that meet their needs. Thankfully, in 2020, finding out the needs of your target market has never been easier. With an array of technological tools dedicated to helping businesses better understand their target market, meeting the needs of consumers is no longer a struggle. In today’s article, we look at how tech can help you better understand your target market, so read on to find out more.

1.Web Scrape Your Way To Success

Have you heard of web scraping? In a nutshell, web scraping services allow businesses to better understand the needs and wants of its target audience by gathering large amounts of data from competitors or rivals. Web scraping services trawl through the internet, extracting data from your competitor’s websites, reviews and testimonials. Based on the information that is gathered, businesses are able to better meet customer needs. Based on reviews of similar products and services, companies can fine-tune their own products and services to better meet the needs of their target audience. Web scraping services can even monitor stock levels or competitor products that may be out of stock which gives your business the upper hand.

2.   Targeted Advertisements

Chances are you’ve come across a sponsored ad or two on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Targeted ads are at peak popularity in 2020, with thousands of businesses utilising it to promote their products and services. Based on an algorithm that figures out what consumers are interested in, targeted ads have the ability to reach a specific group of people that may be interested in your products or services. Targeted ads make use of peoples demographic information or interests to post ads that are relevant to their lives. In this way, you can be sure that your ads are reaching the right people instead of being ignored by people who have no interest in your niche.

3.   Understand Your Analytics

One of the best ways of getting to fully understand the wants and needs of your target audience is to have a look at your analytics. Fully understanding your analytics is one of the best ways to figure out what your audience is in search of and what they may not be interested in. Are certain pages or products on your website garnering more traction? Which pages have the highest bounce rate? Where are most of your conversions coming from? How long do people spend on your site? Where is your traffic coming from? Fully understanding these analytics is by far one of the best ways of understanding your target market and making changes that will help you fulfil their needs.

 4.   Create a Buyer Persona

Last but certainly not least, creating a buyer persona is an ingenious way of further figuring out the needs of your target audience. Buyer personas are a fictional representation of your target audience. Creating a buyer persona is a great way of gaining more insight into exactly what your buyers need. Using your buyer persona, you are then able to tweak your products, services and prices to further resonate with your audience. You can easily search the web to find various buyer persona templates that will assist you in getting your buyer persona up and running.
With the aid of technology, understanding the needs and wants of your target audience has never been easier. We hope that this article has given you some valuable insight into how your business can go about further delving into your target audience.
